Gotcha Day!

"When the Lord brought back the captive ones of Zion,
We were like those who dream.
Then our mouth was filled with laughter,
And our tongue with joyful shouting;
Then they said among the nations,
'The Lord has done great things for them.'
The Lord has done great things for us!!
We are glad!"
Psalm 126: 1-3

As I sit here typing in this dark room, there are two sweet little boys lying in a bed across the room  from me, not yet sleeping...Brothers...finally united.  Praise God!!

I'll let the pictures tell most of the story today...

Signing Isaac out of the orphanage...forever!

Goodbye bedroom!

Goodbye Director!

Goodbye Friends!

Goodbye Dining room!

Goodbye garden!

Goodbye orphanage dogs!

Gotcha!  And we're never gonna let you go!

Ukrainian Rest Area

Stopping on the way back to Odessa for a coke and  photo with a truck (isn't that what everyone does at rest areas?)

Brothers united!!

We are so thankful to have Isaac with us!  There is still a big hurdle to jump with the birth certificate.  We tried to work on that in Balta today but didn't make much progress.  The judge and other officials are unsure of how to proceed.  Please pray that a solution can be figured out soon.  In the meantime we will savor this time with Isaac and try to make ourselves useful here in Odessa.

Sweet dreams friends!  Ours certainly will be.

  2. Kimmie,

    I read his today and thought of you and your family:

    Psalm 100

    A psalm. For giving grateful praise.

    1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
    2 Worship the Lord with gladness;
    come before him with joyful songs.
    3 Know that the Lord is God.
    It is he who made us, and we are his[a];
    we are his people, the sheep of his pasture
    4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
    and his courts with praise;
    give thanks to him and praise his name.
    5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
    his faithfulness continues through all generations
